5-DAY PROGRAM OF UCLG-MEWA IN TEHRAN

UCLG-MEWA AT THE 11TH WORLD CITY FORUM: TRANSFORMING OUR CITIES
The eleventh session of World Urban Forum (WUF), organized by UN Habitat every two years, was held in Katowice, Poland, on 26-30 June 2022, with the motto “Transforming our cities for a better urban future”.
UCLG Executive Bureau in Sevilla: Fostering Peace
The UCLG Executive Bureau was held on June 13-15 in Sevilla, Spain, under the theme "Local and Regional Governments Fostering Peace at the front line of Emergencies." The Executive Bureau discussed the work program until the UCLG Congress to be held in Daejeon in October, including the statutory issues related to the renewal of the governing bodies. The event also gave the participants the opportunity to attend the Mediterranean Forum on Urban Migration.
Busworld Turkey 2022 was Held on May 26-28 in Istanbul
The ninth edition of the Busworld Turkey, the world's largest exhibition for bus vehicles, was held between 26-28 May in Istanbul. The theme of this year's gathering was ZERO Emission. The event brings the stakeholders working on transportation together to expand their knowledge of new technologies, trends, and policies. The exhibition also allows stakeholders to widen their networks by interacting with various corporates and industrialists and increase their capacities by attending the thematic presentations made by experts.

UCLG-MEWA CONGRESS: THE PERIOD 2022-2025 BEGINS
The seventh UCLG-MEWA Congress, which is held every three years, was held on May 25-27, hosted by the Konya Metropolitan Municipality. With the Congress, the Organization's Presidency, Governing Bodies, Committee Presidencies, Strategic Priorities, and Constitution were renewed. The Congress also hosted Decentralized Cooperation Training and two thematic panels on the environment and urban mobility.

The peer learning program titled “Migration and Displacement in the Contexts of Crisis: What are Local and Regional Governments (LRGs) doing to save and protect lives?” was held online on April 11-13.
THE TRAINING ON INTEGRATED WATER RESOURCES MANAGEMENT HELD IN AMMAN
The Training on Integrated Water Resources Management, organized by UCLG-MEWA and hosted by Greater Amman Municipality, within the framework of the Global-Regional Coordination Project carried out by the Global Covenant of Mayors for Climate & Energy (GCoM), UCLG, and Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI), was held on March 30-31.
EKO-IKLIM (ECO-CLIMATE) SUMMIT HELD ON MARCH 30-31
The ECO-CLIMATE Summit/Fair, which was organized under the leadership of the Ankara Chamber of Commerce (ATO), was held on March 30-31 at the ATO Congressium. At the summit, where stakeholders from the private and public sectors and local governments were present, the climate crisis and its effects on various sectors were discussed in various simultaneous sessions.
UCLG-MEWA ATTENDED THE ARAB FORUM ON SUSTAINABLE DEVELOPMENT
The Arab Forum on Sustainable Development (AFSD), organized by ESCWA (United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia), was held in Beirut on March 15-17.

SUSTAINABLE CITIES SUMMIT ’22 CO-HOSTED BY ICLEI AND KADIKÖY MUNICIPALITY
International Sustainable Cities Summit, which was organized with the call of Şerdil Dara Odabaşı, Mayor of Kadıköy, Gino Van Begin, Secretary General of Local Governments for Sustainability (ICLEI) and Tunç Soyer, Mayor of Izmir, was held as a hybrid meeting at Kozyatağı Cultural Center on 18 March 2022.
CONSUL GENERAL OF MONGOLIA IN ISTANBUL VISITED UCLG-MEWA
Khishigsuren Sharav, Consul General of Mongolia in Istanbul, Batbold Sundui, former Minister of Justice and Internal Affairs and ex-deputy of Mongolia and current President of Mongolian Association of Local Authorities, and Ganbayar G. Harnuud, Founder and Chairman of Mongolia-Turkey Business Council, visited UCLG-MEWA on March 22.
