Ahmet Turan Koçer, Advisor to the Mayor of Diyarbakır, paid a working visit to UCLG-MEWA on 24 March 2021.
During the visit to the General Secretariat building of UCLG-MEWA in Istanbul, the representatives from the Department of Communication made a presentation on UCLG-MEWA and talked about the work done by the department. Later, the Department of Administrative and Financial Affairs gave information about the administrative work of UCLG-MEWA. Afterwards, the Department of Relations with International Organizations briefed Mr. Koçer on the global work of UCLG-MEWA and the relations being carried out with UCLG World Organization and other organizations. Finally, the Department of Projects and Committees touched upon some of the projects being worked on with the relevant stakeholders of the organization and also the committee activities of UCLG-MEWA.
During the meeting, UCLG-MEWA Secretary General Mehmet Duman also emphasized the importance of Diyarbakır Metropolitan Municipality’s active involvement in UCLG-MEWA activities and possible areas of cooperation.
