Mr. Mohamed Saadie, Co-President of UCLG-MEWA and President of Union of Municipalities of Dannieh, visited UCLG-MEWA General Secretariat in Istanbul. In the meeting, Mr. Mehmet Duman, UCLG-MEWA Secretary General, has briefed Mr. Saadie on the activities and events carried out by UCLG-MEWA.
Following the meeting, Co-President Saadie visited the World Academy for Local Government and Democracy (WALD). Saadie has been informed on the activities of WALD here.
Co-President Saadie and Secrtary General Duman also paid a visit to Pendik Municipality. The delegation came together with the Mr. Cevat Yaman, Deputy Mayor of Pendik Municipality.
The delegation was also visited Mr. Dr. Kadir Topbaş, Former Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, President of UNACLA and former UCLG’s President for the period of 2010-2013 and 2013-2016.
The Delegation later moved to Şişli Municipality and visited Mr. Hayri İnönü, Mayor of Şişli Municipality, in his office. Co-President Saadie and Secretary General Duman also paid a visit to Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality. The delegation of UCLG-MEWA came together with Mr. Hasan Tahsin Usta, Mayor of Gaziosmanpaşa Municipality, and informed him on the activities of UCLG-MEWA. Following this, the delegation of UCLG-MEWA paid a visit to Mr. Lokman Çağrıcı, Mayor of Bağcılar Municipality. In the meeting Mr. Çağrıcı was informed by the UCLG-MEWA delegation on the activities of UCLG-MEWA.
