The second edition of the World Forum on Intermediary Cities organized by the United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG) was held under the auspices of Kütahya Municipality in Kütahya, Turkey on 5-8 October 2021. Kütahya Declaration was published by UCLG as an outcome of the Forum held under the theme of “Life Systems for a Resilient Future”.
The Chefchaouen Declaration, which was the outcome document of the First World Forum of Intermediary Cities held in Chefchaouen, Morocco in 2018, focused on raising awareness about this agenda. Kütahya Declaration, on the other hand, places Intermediary Cities in an action-oriented agenda. The Declaration includes interesting details regarding the potential of these cities in the post-Covid recovery agenda.
