Within the scope of the “Monitoring Equality in Municipalities Project” that we are carrying out together with the Association for Supporting Women Candidates (KA.DER), we held 3 more evaluation meetings and completed the field work phase of the project.
During the meetings held with the relevant departments of Beylikdüzü Municipality, Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality, and Ordu Metropolitan Municipality, the equality action plans of the municipalities, the work of the relevant commissions, and the progress made in this area were recorded. The data collected from 8 municipalities in total within the scope of the project will also feed into the future activities of the UCLG-MEWA Committee on Gender Equality.
