Distinguished UCLG-MEWA Member,
As adopted in the 3rd meeting of the Committee on Urban Mobility in Istanbul on 2nd of December 2016, the UCLG-MEWA President of the Committee on Urban Mobility, Istanbul Electricity, Tramway and Tunnel Management (IETT), proposed to implement at the Regional level the “Public Transportation Excellence Index” (PTE-Index) project which goal is to measure and compare the quality level of public transport services, define its current status and rewarding the best practices city in any category in every city.
Within this framework, we would like you to answer to the questions of the Public Transport Performance Index optimized by IETT to the regional level and evaluate the performance, with the support of indicators, of your municipality in providing services in the field of transportation and mobility.
Please find attached in this email the Public Transport Performance Index to be completed and sent back to our Secretariat by 1st of March 2017.
