Our network has accumulated fifteen years of specific practices and experiences. We have carried out a work of capitalization of these experiences and we are happy to announce that the Committee on Culture of UCLG recently launched a new website on “culture, cities and SDGs”, with good practices on culture and sustainable local development.
The observatory, also called “OBS”, is a unique practical website in the world, it includes more than 120 good practices available in the 3 languages of UCLG (English, French and Spanish) that describe cultural projects, programmes and policies coming from cities and local governments from across the world.
The good practices are indexed by 3 types of criteria:
- The 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN Agenda 2030.
- The 9 Commitments of UCLG’s Culture 21 Actions.
- 75 keywords related with cultural policies and sustainability.
We invite you to consult the OBS website, and to share it around your networks and with all your collaborators who are interested in the relation between culture, cultural policies and sustainable cities.
We invite you to contribute to the initiative by sending us proposals of good practices on culture, cities and sustainability.
Should you require any additional information, do not hesitate to contact the Secretariat of the Committee at: info@agenda21culture.net.
