UCLG-MEWA Forum on Resilience and Executive Bureau will be held on 21-23 June and hosted by Trabzon Metropolitan Municipality. The Forum includes Resilience Training, High-Level Resilience Dialogue, and the launch of the Trabzon Resilience Declaration.
The Forum on Resilience will start on June 21 with a day-long Resilience Training. Based on the Resilience Learning Module, this Training will be organized by UCLG-MEWA UCLG Learning and UNDRR to enhance the resilience capacity of local governments. The first leg of this Training was organized for Arab cities in the United Arab Emirates on 1-2 November 2022; the second will be aimed at Turkish cities. The participation in the training will be limited and by invitation only.
The second day of the Forum will witness the High-Level Resilience Dialogue, which will take place after the official opening. Mayors from MEWA Region will share their strategies and insights on the relevant subject with the participants. The promotion and signing ceremony will take place for the Trabzon Resilience Declaration.
UCLG-MEWA EXECUTIVE BUREAU
At the UCLG-MEWA Executive Bureau Meeting, which will take place on the second day of the Forum, the Activity Report for the Period November 1, 2022 – June 20, 2023, and the activity program for the next Period will be presented. The reports prepared by the UCLG-MEWA Supervisory Board/Financial Management Committee will be finalized, and the changes in the membership during the Period will also be discussed.
