Initiated in cooperation with United Cities and Local Governments (UCLG), Global Covenant of Mayors (GCoM) and ICLEI World Secretariat in 2020, Global and Regional Coordination (GRC) Project is designed to promote collaboration in the name of fostering climate action coordination in the global scale. Holding various meetings specifically organized for MEWA cities within the context of the GRC Project, UCLG-MEWA keeps drawing attention to the climate-related difficulties faced in the region and plays a prominent role in the project.
In this regard, UCLG-MEWA will hold the Workshop on Climate Change and Human Mobility on March 5, 2024. Designed to address climate change in parallel with the phenomenon of migration, the workshop will be hosted by the Greater Salt Municipality. In addition to looking for the ways of solutions for the climate change-driven difficulties experienced on the human mobility in MEWA Region, the workshop also promises to develop easy-to-apply strategies for building sustainable cities.
