We are pleased to inform you about the ACT Mayors’ Conference 2026, which will take place on 11-12 May 2026 in Cascais, Portugal, the European Capital of Democracy 2026.
Bringing together mayors, municipal leaders, experts and young changemakers from across Europe and beyond, the conference will explore how cities can strengthen democratic governance and promote human rights in a rapidly changing world shaped by challenges such as climate change, social inequalities and digital transformation.
About the Conference:
Since 2016, the ACT NOW Mayors’ Conference has served as an international platform for local leaders to exchange experiences, present innovative city initiatives and discuss practical solutions to global challenges at the local level.
The 2026 edition will take place at the Estoril Congress Center and will feature two days of interactive sessions and discussions focusing on democratic leadership, human rights and local solutions for global challenges.
