The ninth edition of the Busworld Turkey, the world’s largest exhibition for bus vehicles, was held between 26-28 May in Istanbul. The theme of this year’s gathering was ZERO Emission. The event brings the stakeholders working on transportation together to expand their knowledge of new technologies, trends, and policies. The exhibition also allows stakeholders to widen their networks by interacting with various corporates and industrialists and increase their capacities by attending the thematic presentations made by experts.
Since the UCLG-MEWA Committee on Smart Cities and Urban Mobility works on sustainable transportation projects, it has worked with Busworld Turkey and taken part in Busworld Exhibitions for many years. Mohamed Saadieh, Immediate Past President of UCLG-MEWA, made a presentation on sustainability and cooperation in the MEWA Region.
Murat Kodaz, UCLG-MEWA Deputy Secretary General, and Dilşad Ölçen, focal point of the UCLG-MEWA Committee on Smart Cities and Urban Mobility, also attended the event.
