Chaired by Dr. Adem Esen, Dean of Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences, the meeting brought together the external stakeholders of the faculty, on March 25, 2024. In addition to the representatives of organizations such as Istanbul University Faculty of Political Sciences Alumni Foundation, Istanbul Chamber of Commerce and Istanbul Stock Exchange, Dr. Mehmet Duman, UCLG-MEWA Secretary General and Fatih Gökyıldız, UCLG-MEWA Projects Department Coordinator, were among the participants.
During the meeting, UCLG-MEWA delegation shared the details of its Volunteering Program and its Roadmap for 2024. In addition, the participants were informed about the internship and volunteering opportunities offered by UCLG-MEWA to university students.
During his address at the meeting, Prof. Adem Esen, provided detailed insights to the participants about the symposium titled “Security, Human Rights and Civil Society in Metropolitan Istanbul,” which is scheduled to take place in May in Istanbul and is also expected to be attended by UCLG-MEWA.
