UCLG-MEWA Executive Bureau Meeting will take place in Aksaray, Türkiye, on 28–29 May 2025. The meeting will feature Executive Bureau sessions, along with a workshop, a training session, and various field visits.
On the first day, the plenary session, the statutory meetings will be followd by an interactive presentation focusing on “Drought” will be delivered by the Mayor of Aksaray, The second day will be dedicated to a workshop titled “Measuring Quality of Life in the Middle East and West Asia Region,” which will highlight the importance of evaluating quality of life in the MEWA region and will also include a discussion on the outcomes of the global implementation of the Quality of Life Index.
Following the workshop, there will be a training session on “Localizing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in Urban Governance,” composed of three sessions, addressing the vital role of Local and Regional Governments (LRGs) in advancing the 2030 Sustainable Development Agenda.
