The 2025 UCLG World Council will take place in Xi’an, People’s Republic of China (PRC) on 16-18 October 2025, under the theme, “Shaping communities for current and future generations”. It will be organized in parallel with the 2025 UNIDO’s Bridge for Cities, promoting sustainable urban development, inclusive growth, and innovation.

Each member of the delegation must confirm their online or in-person attendance to the World Council by filling in the registration form by 3 October.
LOGISTICAL INFORMATION
Visa: Because the process for obtaining a visa can be difficult, we strongly recommend that you start as soon as possible. You can complete the form and send it to xiancity2025@163.com, copying UCLGExBu@uclg.org for a personalized invitation letter.
Meeting Venue & Hotels: The meetings will be held at the Xi’an International Convention and Exhibition Center (Xi’an ICEC): No. 1399, Huizhan 1st Road, Baqiqo District, Xi’an, Shaanxi, PRC.
Only a few rooms are blocked in two hotels at a lower price. Please have a look at the information note for more details.
UCLGMeets and Online Participation: You can access the dedicated space for the meeting on the UCLGMeets Platform. The detailed and updated programme of the sessions, the resources and documents for the meetings, and the Zoom links for online participation will be available in the coming weeks.
