We are pleased to inform you about the upcoming Sixth meeting of the UN Forum of Mayors (2026), taking place from 12 to 13 October 2026, in Geneva, Switzerland.
The Forum will bring together mayors from across the UNECE region and beyond to exchange experiences, share best practices, and adopt an outcome document that reflects shared priorities and emphasizes the essential role of local governments in delivering a sustainable future. Aligned with the 2026 session of the High-level Political Forum on Sustainable Development (New York, 6-15 July 2026), the meeting will focus primarily on the local implementation of key targets of Sustainable Development Goal 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities), while also exploring the role of innovation and creativity in advancing sustainable urban development.
