The 2025 Edition of the Volunteering Program for the youth organized by the Research & Development (R&D) and Projects Department within UCLG-MEWA started with an online Introduction and Coordination meeting held on the 11th of April, 2025. The Program aims to pave the way for the youth to accumulate professional experience in the field of local governments and to help them acquire the necessary skills in this field.
In this meeting, volunteers who study at various universities and have successfully completed the application process were informed about the structure and the content of the Program, which comprises five sections. By the end of the Volunteering Program, the participants are expected to be well acquainted with the international agenda, to have knowledge about the structure and functioning of international organizations, particularly UCLG-MEWA, and to be able to identify the responsibilities they may face in professional life.
