During the forum, the partnership between UCLG-MEWA and ZWF was formalized through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), institutionalizing their joint efforts to advance sustainable development, zero waste policies, and circular economy initiatives across the region.
UCLG-MEWA’s International Relations Coordinator Dr. Reem Abusamra and Research Assistant Mehmet Arda Yıldız also actively participated in the event, engaging with local governments and stakeholders and contributing to discussions on sustainability, zero waste, and circular economy approaches.
This collaboration highlights UCLG-MEWA’s continued commitment to supporting local governments in implementing practical sustainability solutions, fostering environmental responsibility, and advancing the circular economy across the MEWA region.
