Mohamad Saadie, UCLG-MEWA President and President of Union of Dannieh Municipalities; Mehmet Duman, UCLG-MEWA Secretary General; and Mohamad Allouch, Mayor of Kosrsayta paid a series of official visits in Kocaeli.
As part of a series of visits on October 5, 2020, the UCLG-MEWA delegation paid a visit to Zinnur Büyükgöz, Mayor of Gebze and UCLG-MEWA Executive Bureau and Council Member. Later on, they moved to Kocaeli City Council and visited Gültekin Görüm, Secretary General of the Council.
Another stop of the delegation was the East Marmara Development Agency (MARKA), where they met with Dr. Mustafa Çöpoğlu. Following this meeting, they paid a visit to Mehmet Yasin Özlü, Mayor of Başiskele.
After visiting Balamir Gündoğdu, Secretary General of Kocaeli Metropolitan Municipality, the delegation visited Abdul Rauf Ulusoy, Deputy Governor of Kocaeli.
UCLG-MEWA delegation’s visits to Kocaeli ended after meeting with Ali Yıldırım Sezer, Mayor of Gölcük and UCLG-MEWA Supervisory Board/Financial Management Committee Member.
On October 6, 2020, they paid a visit to Murat Aydın, Mayor of Beykoz (Istanbul, Turkey) at his office.
