UCLG-MEWA PARTICIPATED IN THE TRAINING ON KA154 YOUTH PARTICIPATION AND PROJECT WRITING


Taking part in the event titled “KA154 Youth Participation and Project Training,” which was organized by the National Agency in Rize, from November 5 to 9, 2024, UCLG-MEWA made a great contribution to the program. Organized by the Presidency of the European Union Education and Youth Programs Center of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs,  the event brought together approximately 60 participants from various public institutions, local governments, civil society organizations and universities in Türkiye.

Representing UCLG-MEWA as the Research, Development and Projects Coordinator, Fatih Gökyıldız also took part in the training, given on strategies to strengthen youth participation and developing projects in line with the priorities of the KA154 program. The training offered basic skills on the process such as successful project writing techniques, resource management and sustainability of projects.

During the event, participants were given the opportunity to experience a real project preparation process through simulation slots, while innovative project ideas were also developed through group studies in the Idea Workshop. In addition, the program also included sessions, during which some successful projects were presented as an example of good practice. The team also mentioned the dissemination strategies for successful projects, such as the ones shared as part of the program.

Organized with an aim to develop the participants’ project writing skills as well as to support young people’s active participation in decision-making processes, the training offered a productive program to its participants, with the interactive slots and practical learning activities.
