On July 1, 2024, Tayseer Abu Sneineh, Mayor of Hebron and UCLG-MEWA President, along with UCLG-MEWA Secretary General Dr. Mehmet Duman and his delegation, visited Bağcılar Municipality. The visit was organized to discuss the continuation of ongoing projects and explore potential collaborations.
During the meeting, the current projects between UCLG-MEWA and Bağcılar Municipality were evaluated, and discussions were held about future mutual engagement. The event was considered as an important step towards UCLG-MEWA’s goals of increasing regional cooperation and strengthening the capacities of local governments.
During the event, UCLG-MEWA President Tayseer Abu Sneineh stated, “Collaboration and solidarity among local governments will contribute to the sustainable development of cities in our region.”
Following the meeting, the delegation attended a lunch organized by Bağcılar Municipality, and gift were exchanged mutually.
This visit once again demonstrated that the strong relations and joint efforts between UCLG-MEWA and Bağcılar Municipality continue.
