We are pleased to announce the establishment of the UCLG‑MEWA Working Group on Water, chaired by Mr. Emrah Özdemir, Mayor of Niğde, as part of our ongoing commitment to addressing the challenges posed by climate change. This decision was formally adopted during the UCLG‑MEWA Executive Bureau Meeting held in Niğde on 20 April 2026.
As water‑related issues continue to gain prominence alongside global climate change, we would be delighted to welcome your institution as a member of this Working Group. We would also greatly appreciate your support in disseminating information about the establishment of the Working Group to relevant water‑related institutions in your city and encouraging them to participate, should they wish to do so.
