We are pleased to inform you that the UCLG – Mexico City – Culture 21 International Award Ceremony will take place on 8 October 2026 in Mexico City, Mexico.
The Award Ceremony will be held alongside a Peer-learning Exercise on Cultural Rights, Care and Gender Equality, taking place from 7 to 9 October 2026. The event will bring together award winners, special mentions, recognized good practices, members of the international jury, experts, and representatives of local governments from around the world.
The programme will provide an opportunity to exchange experiences and good practices, strengthen international dialogue on culture and sustainable development, and promote peer learning among local governments.
The event offers an excellent opportunity for local governments to engage with internationally recognized cultural initiatives and exchange experiences on the role of culture in sustainable urban development.
All UCLG members are warmly invited to participate in the Award Ceremony and the peer-learning activities.
