The Urban95 Academy online learning programme

We are pleased to announce that the call for applications for the Urban95 Academy is now open.

Urban95 is a global initiative led by the Van Leer Foundation that supports cities in promoting the healthy development of young children through urban policy, planning, and design. The Academy aims to strengthen local governments’ capacity to create healthier, safer, and more inclusive urban environments for young children and their caregivers.

The programme brings together three-member municipal teams for a seven-week online learning programme, combining self-paced modules with weekly live sessions delivered by LSE academic faculty and guest experts. Following the successful completion of the online programme, selected city teams will be invited to participate in a fully funded, one-week in-person Residence Week hosted by the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE).

Eligibility:

The Urban95 Academy is open to mayors, senior municipal leaders, city planners, designers, and other urban professionals working within local governments. In addition, NGOs that work closely with local governments may apply by forming a joint team with the relevant municipality.
