We are pleased to announce the 2026 UCLG Annual Retreat, a strategic, week-long gathering that brings together political leaders, practitioners, Sections, Committees, and partners of the UCLG network.
Held under the theme “Local Multilateralism: Hope and Objective – A local and territorial vision for the world”, the Retreat provides a dedicated space to strengthen collaboration across the UCLG ecosystem, align priorities for the year ahead, and co-create innovative responses to global challenges from a territorial perspective. The 2026 edition will place a particular emphasis on democracy, youth, intergenerational dialogue, and the collective reflection feeding into the World Summit for Social Development and the Countdown to 2030.
The Retreat will take place in person in Barcelona, with online participation limited to selected guests and plenary sessions. Participants are invited to engage actively in interactive discussions throughout the week. You can find logistical information here.
