The Thirteenth Session of the World Urban Forum (WUF13) will be
held from 17–22 May 2026 in Baku, Azerbaijan, co-organized by
UN-Habitat and the Government of Azerbaijan.
WUF13 will focus on the global housing challenge and highlight the role of
local and regional governments in advancing inclusive, resilient,
and sustainable urban development.
Key moments for the local and regional governments’ constituency include:

World Assembly of Local and Regional Governments (WALRG)
under the theme “Local Leadership Shaping a Renewed Multilateralism,” which
will consolidate the political voice of the constituency and contribute
to the WUF13 Call to Action. -
Roundtable of Local and Regional Governments, organized with
UN-Habitat, focusing on strengthening multilevel governance for adequate
housing and resilient communities. -
Side Event: “The Cities Countdown to 2030 in Action: Housing
as a Driver of Global Agenda Delivery,” showcasing housing-centered
policies and multilevel cooperation.
