The 17th Call for Applications of the International Fund for Cultural Diversity (IFCD) has been published by UNESCO.
The IFCD was established under the 2005 Convention on the Protection and Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions and supports the development of sustainable cultural policies in developing countries that are Parties to the Convention.
The Fund supports the creation, production, distribution of, and access to a diversity of cultural expressions through the development and implementation of policies and measures that create a structural impact on the cultural and creative sectors.
Selected projects will be evaluated according to their capacity to produce concrete and lasting results for the development of creative sectors.
Public authorities and institutions (including local governments), non-governmental organizations (NGOs), and international NGOs registered in countries that are Parties to the 2005 Convention are invited to apply.
Selected projects will be eligible to receive a grant of up to USD 100,000, and the implementation period is between 12 to 24 months.
Applications must be submitted in English or French, and the deadline for applications is 6 May 2026.
Following a pre-evaluation, applications will be forwarded to the National Commissions and evaluated by UNESCO Headquarters. The results will be announced on the IFCD website in January 2027.
