We are pleased to share the key updates regarding the 2026 High-Level Political Forum (HLPF) to be held in New York (7-15 July). This year is pivotal as it reviews SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities) alongside SDG 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), SDG 7 (Affordable and Clean Energy), and SDG 9 (Infrastructure, Industrialization and Innovation).
Key Dates at United Nations Headquarters
- 9 July: Official Review of SDG 11 (15:00-18:00).
- 14 July: Local & Regional Governments Forum (LRGF) (15:00-18:00).
Focus: Housing, Water, and Energy as essential public services.
- TBC (Near 14 July): LRG Day – Launch of the 10th “Towards the Localization of the SDGs” Report.
- 15 July: HLPF Official Session on Localization (16:30-18:00).
Accreditation & Registration
UCLG will act as the umbrella organization for registration via the Indico platform.
[IMPORTANT] Accreditations through UCLG are extremely limited. It is strongly recommended members to secure accreditation through their National Governments first.
