We are pleased to share that the Earthna Center for a Sustainable Future (a member of Qatar Foundation) has launched the second cycle of the Earthna Prize.
The Prize celebrates and supports initiatives that preserve and apply traditional knowledge and cultural heritage to tackle contemporary environmental challenges.
Key Details of the Prize:
- Prize Pool: US $1,000,000 (To be shared among four winners selected by a high-level jury).
- Beyond Funding: Winners will gain a global platform to elevate their work and unlock collaboration opportunities with an international network of sustainability stakeholders.
- Eligible Entities: Local and Regional Governments (LRGs), NGOs, Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), Civil Society Organizations (CSOs), private sector entities, and other eligible organizations working to preserve, adapt, and apply traditional knowledge and cultural heritage.
- Core Focus Areas: Projects leveraging traditional practices across water systems, food systems, terrestrial/marine ecosystems, and built environments.
- Application Deadline: 20 July 2026
